London Bridges....

I'm on Christmas break now, so of course that means I'm playing online games. I went to addictinggames to find some entertaining games and I was not disappointed. Here is one of the games I found. It's called Mythic Fort Defense. You have a tower on one side of the screen while enemies approach from the other side of the screen. You shoot the baddies with arrows from your tower and with power-ups that unlock as you level up. It's an addicting and fun mouse controlled game. There are three different game modes: Campaign, Zombie Invasion, and Boss Trials. Campaign is good. Zombie Invasion is too easy and never gets harder. I made it 38 minutes before getting bored with it and letting myself die. The Boss Trials are quite a bit more challenging. It's a fun game - enjoy.

Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice

Here is one of those games where you have a castle across from the computer's castle and you send your troops across to destroy their castle before they destroy yours. Here's the twist: They're cupcakes!!!! Haha. Anyway, the music is pretty fun and it's a fun little game.

Shoot 'Em Up

I played this game a long time ago before it got popular and now it is actually selling in stores and what-not. But here is Plants vs. Zombies online: Plants vs. Zombies.

And here is a crazy western duel game. It's high noon!

The Imperium: Apocalypse

I am Archmage Merlin. The day is 26 of year 137. As of yesterday, the 25th, the principal of my college found that an extremely large asteroid is on a collision course with our planet. This entire earth, including the Imperium, the Domain of the Rising Sun and their neighboring nations will be entirely destroyed upon the asteroids arrival on earth. Our calculations have caused us to mark day 12 of year 138 as the day of the Harbinger of Death.

Me and my colleague formed the idea for a plan, which is this: we will build a spaceship and find another planet to live on.

There are many problems that arise out of this plan which we will have to overcome.

Firstly we need to find another planet. Without a destination, our efforts would be in vain. We have located a planet which we have named Ezra Terra. This planet seems similar to our own and is our primary destination. We have charted a few other possibilities that seem less likely. Hopefully we will have enough power to find and reach a planet suitable for human life.

Our plan to prevent the possibility of touching down on a planet that is unsuitable and not having enough fuel to get off again is to send a probe down to the planet while remaining in orbit. This probe will alert us by transmission or silence if the planet is not available for population. With hope, Ezra Terra will be ready to receive us else we must journey further to the nearest alternative. However, if Ezra Terra is not fit for us, then the chances of another one of our possibilities being hospitable are most disagreeable.

The second major obstacle is one that brings with it a multitude of issues; that is the building of the spaceship. Here are the issues at a glance. We must find the materials to make a spaceship that can survive in space. We must design the ship to take into account all of the issues that the spaceship needs to address. We need to find renewable energy for this monstrous journey. We must keep the building of this spaceship top secret.

The third enormous hurdle is that after we have built the spaceship, we have to find a way to get a select one-hundred people onto it without the rest of the Imperium and neighboring countries getting in the way.

I will present this information to the General when I arrive in Promontorium.

Tesla's Dream -- Free Energy For All

I was trying to find this game earlier and just now found it. It's a great puzzle game where in each level, you have to get the energy from the power supply to the target. Great fun.

Why Don't You Step Down From That Ledge, My Friend....

I'm going back through my StumbleUpon online games favorites and replaying some of them that I really like.
Here's one called Suicide Salaryman. In it, you are a business man and in each level, your goal is to kill yourself. It's not always as straightforward as it sounds. This is a puzzle game.

The Cake is a Lie...

So, I have this Public Speaking class in which I have to do an informative speech. I chose the Rubik's cube -- specifically, some of its important rudimentary principles. In creating the PowerPoint presentation for this assignment, I googled pictures of Rubik's Cubes to improve the presentation.

All that to say, I found a pretty interesting site where this guy Maarten Steurbaut created a functional but challenged Rubik's Cube out of Legos. Here is the link to that: Lego Rubik's Cube.

After he had made this version of the cube, he found out that another AFOL (adult fan of Legos) had built a better cube out of Legos. This inspired him and he took another crack at it, but I'm not going to focus on that. What interests me is the other guys cube.

Martin Howard is his name, and here is the direct link to the Lego Rubik's Cube that he built: click me, I'm Irish.

After checking that out, you might want to look around the rest of his site for even more interesting Lego creations that he's made. Here is a link to the Lego section of his website: Lego my Ego.

Happy surfing.
